Another Writing Contest
Got a great essay, story, or poem? Rider University in New Jersey is looking for entries for its 28th annual High School Writing Contest. Contest winners will receive money, finalists will receive a certificate of Honorable Mention, and all winners will be considered for publication in Venture, Rider’s literary magazine. Here are the rules:
- Type your Name, Address, Grade, Teacher’s Name, School Name and School Address on your entry
- Include a letter from a teacher stating the work is original and by you.
- Make sure your entry is typed, not handwritten. Stories and essays must be double-spaced. Give your work a title.
- Only send one entry per category
- Entries must be postmarked no later than December 14, 2007

There should be some contests for middle schoolers too and not all for kids in high school!! It really sucks!

I love writing stories but whenever i am looking for a contest to put it in it’s all for older people or something like that.

I agree with you that there aren’t enough writing contest ops for younger people. I’ll keep my eye out for more and post them here! XOXO Debbie
